The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

If there was a river at the door of any of you and he took a bath in it five times a day would you notice any dirt on him?” They said, “Not a trace of dirt would be left.” The Prophet (ﷺ) added, “That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Between disbelief and faith is abandoning the Salat.”

Narrated `Abdullah: I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) “Which deed is the dearest to Allah?” He replied, “To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 527)

Hadith about obligatory prayer

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: When the iqamah is pronounced for prayer, no prayer is valid except the obligatory prayer. (Sunan Abi Dawud 1266)

Narrated Abu Al-Mahh: We were with Buraida in a battle on a cloudy day and he said, “Offer the `Asr prayer early as The Prophet said (ﷺ), “Whoever leaves the `Asr prayer, all his (good) deeds will be annulled.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 553)
