Beautiful Hadith About Love
Narrated `Abdullah: the Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“Everyone will be with those whom he loves.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 6168)
In Arabic
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ “ الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ ”.
Abu Dharr said, “I asked, ‘The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“what if a man loves a people but cannot join them?’ He replied, ‘Abu Dharr, you are with the one you love.’ I said, ‘I love Allah and His Messenger.’ He said, ‘Abu Dharr, you are with the one you love.'”

In Arabic
عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الْقَوْمَ وَلاَ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَلْحَقَ بِعَمَلِهِمْ؟ قَالَ: أَنْتَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ، قُلْتُ: إِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، قَالَ: أَنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ.
Hadith about Expressing Love For the sake of Allah.
Narrated Anas ibn Malik: A man was with the Prophet (ﷺ) and a man passed by him and said:
Messenger of Allah! I love this man. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) then asked: Have you informed him? He replied: No. He said: Inform him. He then went to him and said: I love you for Allah’s sake. He replied: May He for Whose sake you love me love you!

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، كَانَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَمَرَّ بِهِ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي لأُحِبُّ هَذَا . فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ” أَعْلَمْتَهُ ” . قَالَ لاَ قَالَ ” أَعْلِمْهُ ” . قَالَ فَلَحِقَهُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ فِي اللَّهِ . فَقَالَ أَحَبَّكَ الَّذِي أَحْبَبْتَنِي لَهُ .
Narrated Al-Miqdam ibn Ma’dikarib: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
When a man loves his brother, he should tell him that he loves him.
(Sunan Abi Dawud 5124)

عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ، – وَقَدْ كَانَ أَدْرَكَهُ – عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ إِذَا أَحَبَّ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُخْبِرْهُ أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُ ” .
It was narrated from Anas that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, none of you has believed until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself of goodness.”
(Sunan an-Nasa’i 5017)

عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لِأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ مِنْ الْخَيْرِ
Abdullah ibn ‘Amr reported that The Prophet (ﷺ) and grant him peace, said,
“Anyone who has love for his brother in Allah and for Allah should say, ‘I love you for Allah,’ and they will both enter the Garden. The one who has love for someone in Allah has a degree over the one he loves because of his love.”

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَخًا لِلَّهِ، فِي اللهِ، قَالَ: إِنِّي أُحِبُّكَ لِلَّهِ، فَدَخَلاَ جَمِيعًا الْجَنَّةَ، كَانَ الَّذِي أَحَبَّ فِي اللهِ أَرْفَعَ دَرَجَةً لِحُبِّهِ، عَلَى الَّذِي أَحَبَّهُ لَهُ.
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“Love Allah for what He nourishes you with of His Blessings, love me due to the love of Allah, and love the people of my house due to love of me.”
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3789)
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم “ أَحِبُّوا اللَّهَ لِمَا يَغْذُوكُمْ مِنْ نِعَمِهِ وَأَحِبُّونِي بِحُبِّ اللَّهِ وَأَحِبُّوا أَهْلَ بَيْتِي لِحُبِّي ” . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“Whoever loves Hasan and Husain, loves me; and whoever hates them, hates me.'”
(Sunan Ibn Majah 143)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ “ مَنْ أَحَبَّ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ فَقَدْ أَحَبَّنِي وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَهُمَا فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَنِي ” .
Hadith about Allah’s Love
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“If Allah loves a person, He calls Gabriel saying: ‘Allah loves so and so; O Gabriel, love him.’ Gabriel would love him, and then Gabriel would make an announcement among the residents of the Heaven, ‘Allah loves so-and-so, therefore, you should love him also.’ So, all the residents of the Heavens would love him and then he is granted the pleasure of the people of the earth.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا نَادَى جِبْرِيلَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ فُلاَنًا، فَأَحِبَّهُ. فَيُحِبُّهُ جِبْرِيلُ، فَيُنَادِي جِبْرِيلُ فِي أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ فُلاَنًا، فَأَحِبُّوهُ. فَيُحِبُّهُ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ، ثُمَّ يُوضَعُ لَهُ الْقَبُولُ فِي أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ ”.
Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him; and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 6508)

عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ مَنْ أَحَبَّ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ، وَمَنْ كَرِهَ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ كَرِهَ اللَّهُ لِقَاءَهُ ”.
It was narrated from Aishah that the Prophet(ﷺ) said:
“Allah is Gentle and loves gentleness in all things.”

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ “ إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفْقَ فِي الأَمْرِ كُلِّهِ ” .
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“The heart of an old man is young in the love of two things: Love of life and much wealth.”

عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ قَلْبُ الشَّيْخِ شَابٌّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ : فِي حُبِّ الْحَيَاةِ وَكَثْرَةِ الْمَالِ . “
Hadith About Love Before Marriage
It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“There is nothing like marriage, for two who love one another.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah 1847)

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ “ لَمْ نَرَ لِلْمُتَحَابَّيْنِ مِثْلَ النِّكَاحِ ” .
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said,
“A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a losers.
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5090)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ لأَرْبَعٍ لِمَالِهَا وَلِحَسَبِهَا وَجَمَالِهَا وَلِدِينِهَا، فَاظْفَرْ بِذَاتِ الدِّينِ تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكَ ”.
Hadith About Husband And Wife Love
It was narrated from Hakim bin Muawiyah, from his father, that: A man asked the Prophet(ﷺ):
“What are the right of the woman over her husband?” He said: “That he should feed her as he feeds himself and clothe her as he clothes himself; he should not strike her on the face nor disfigure her, and he should not abandon her except in the house (as a form of discipline).” (Hassan)

عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مَا حَقُّ الْمَرْأَةِ عَلَى الزَّوْجِ قَالَ “ أَنْ يُطْعِمَهَا إِذَا طَعِمَ وَأَنْ يَكْسُوَهَا إِذَا اكْتَسَى وَلاَ يَضْرِبِ الْوَجْهَ وَلاَ يُقَبِّحْ وَلاَ يَهْجُرْ إِلاَّ فِي الْبَيْتِ ” .
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said,
“If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 3237)

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم “ إِذَا دَعَا الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَأَبَتْ، فَبَاتَ غَضْبَانَ عَلَيْهَا، لَعَنَتْهَا الْمَلاَئِكَةُ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ ”. تَابَعَهُ شُعْبَةُ وَأَبُو حَمْزَةَ وَابْنُ دَاوُدَ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ.
